I’ve always been a bit obsessive and nerdy with my interests and music has remained a complete constant throughout my life.
My basic guitar-playing meant I was never going to fulfil my dreams of rock’n’roll stardom, so fandom was the next best thing. James has been a regular gig-going buddy with me for years and is a real kindred spirit. Instead of us just talking endlessly about music over a beer, we now get to speak with people who (unlike us) have actually delivered key contributions to our music and culture, so the Welsh Music Podcast is the perfect outlet for us.

I’m an ex-journalist and former colleague of James at Media Wales and have written two books on my beloved Liverpool FC (hopefully my next writing venture will be about Welsh music). I now work in marketing and press at St David’s Hall – the iconic venue where Manic Street Preachers busked outside in the 80s and established the band’s name.
Join us in celebrating this wonderful archive of Welsh music – enjoy!
